It’s Bank Holiday Time Again!

We’ve had some real summer weather. In fact, some people are wishing for a break from the heat. And we may get that before another summery Bank Holiday weekend in sunny Swansea. But how to make the most of the best Bank Holiday weather we’ve had since erm … the last Bank Holiday?

For many of us it’s BBC Music’s The Biggest Weekend sellout music festival in Singleton Park, with Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift headlining. Two days of top acts and a real festival atmosphere.

At the opposite end of the scale – smaller, non-populist, indoor – you could support a worthy cause at the Swansea Alternative Big Weekend at Creature Sound, where bands will be playing in aid of Punks 4 Mental Health.

If you’d rather just get out of earshot of town then maybe you’d prefer the Gower Food Festival at the Gower Heritage Centre on Sunday and Monday, showcasing local food producers and their tasty treats. Perhaps you’d like to warm up for the event by buying something delicious at the Uplands Market on Gwydr Square, Uplands, the Saturday before.

Or you could just go to the beach. All ten miles of it. You’ll probably be able to hear the music from the Biggest Weekend anyway. Enjoy your weekend, however you spend it.
